Bring a bathing suit if you’d like to use the Whirlpool spa. Depending on what you are planning for food (BYO, Catering or dining out) there are plenty of choices that we can recommend. Be sure to bring snacks & beverages. We do have purified H2O drinking systems in place. Don’t forget your personal scrapbook/or hobby gear if you are coming to create & be inspired! If you are in need of any scrapbook products, we can have them brought to the retreat. Or we can recommend local craft establishments.

See our Attractions for more detailed information.
Q: Is there a phone & internet service at Whispering Oaks?
A: Yes, even though it is a relaxing & peaceful retreat place, we do have all the modern conveniences. We are set up for wireless internet service & have a computer for use. Our phone number is #507-867-0133. We are long distance however from Rochester & some other surrounding towns so a phone calling card (or your cell, if it works) is advised to be brought along.
Q: Do you provide cleaning services?
A: We will provide fresh bed linens & a towel for each guest & the house will be clean when you arrive. You are expected to take out the trash, run the dishwasher & place all used towels in the laundry room on your departure. Please leave the house as tidy as you found it. Mishaps do happen however so we would appreciate being informed of any non-working or broken items. If there are missing items, excessive cleaning or damages, you will be responsible for payment. Our retreat home is yours for your stay so enjoy & take care!
Q: Is smoking permitted or my pets allowed on the property?
A: Whispering Oaks Retreat is a non-smoking facility…smoking is only allowed OUTSIDE the retreat home w/ butts deposited in the proper receptacles provided. We love animals, but as a courtesy to all our guests (& to keep our property tidy & allergy free) we have a “No Pets” policy in place. There are local kennels that we can recommend during your stay.
